Ashlyn Brown, lyric-mezzo soprano, recently finished her residency as an Fleming Artist at Aspen Music Festival. There, she debuted Dorabella (Così fan tutte) under the directon of Renée Fleming. She will also sang her first Messiah as the alto soloist later this summer. Most recently, Ashlyn debuted as Flora (La Traviata) and as Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) at Palm Beach Opera. Previous residencies include Santa Fe Opera, Palm Beach Opera, and Sarasota Opera.

Earlier in 2025, she debuted as Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) and Flora Bevoix (La Traviata) as well as covered Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro) as a Laufer Young Artist with Palm Beach Opera. Last summer, Ashlyn returned to Santa Fe Opera and debuted Zweite Adlige Weise (Der Rosenkavalier) and Woman 2/ Event Planner (The Righteous). Prior engagements include Santa Fe Opera (Apprentice Singer), Palm Beach Opera (Apprentice Artist), and Sarasota Opera (Apprentice Artist). Additional career highlights contain Ottavia (L'incoronazione di Poppea), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Hansel (Hansel and Gretel). She is currently working with the Metropolitan Opera, singing as Halyna in the workshop of The Mothers of Kherson by Maxim Kolomiiets. Later in October, Ashlyn will sing with the New Choral Society as the alto soloist in Vivaldi's "Gloria."
Recent awards include Houston Grand Opera Eleanor McCollom Competition for Young Singers (semi-finalist), Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition (Florida District Winner), Santa Fe Opera (Donald and Luke Grahm Memorial Award), Kyrenia Opera Cyprus Vocal Competition (Honorable Mention), and miOpera International Vocal Competition (finalist). She is currently a semi-finalist in the Butler International Opera Competition.
