Ben Shaposhnikov is a Long Island native, currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music degree at Lynn Conservatory of Music, in the studio of Marc Reese. Ben performs regularly with the Palm Beach Symphony and the Florida Grand Opera. In the summer of 2021 and 2022, Ben participated in the Aspen Summer Festival and School where he received the prestigious fellowship scholarship and Aspen Conducting Aspen fellowship. During his time there, he performed under world class conductors and principal players from the Chicago Symphony, Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Dallas Symphony and Utah Symphony. Prior to his time at Lynn, Ben studied in the Juilliard School Pre-College with Raymond Mase. During this time, he was awarded positions in the All Eastern Orchestra for consecutive seasons in 2018-19. In addition to his two primary mentors, Ben has performed masterclasses for Michael Sachs, Conrad Jones, Stuart Stephenson, Kevin Cobb, David Krauss, and Marie Speziale, and Louis Hanzlick.
