Bo Wang is a New York–based baritone who earned his Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Mark Schnaible and Neil Rosenshein. He has appeared in major Mozart and Verdi roles: most recently, he was engaged as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar (2025) and as Colas in Bastien und Bastienne with Modern Vintage Opera (2025). Other performances include Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro(Shenzhen) and Antonio in the same opera at MSM, Masetto in Don Giovanni, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte (Chicago Summer Opera), and Dottore Grenvil in La traviata (City Lyric Opera). His scene-work credits include Leporello (Don Giovanni) and Hérode (Hérodiade) in staged productions.
Wang’s achievements bridge Eastern and Western opera. He was selected as a young artist at the Shenzhen Opera Center, assisting in the production of several Chinese-language operas. He has also presented solo recitals at Shenzhen Universityand the Manhattan School of Music, performing a wide-ranging repertoire. His awards include the Gold Award of China’s “National Art Students Evaluation” (2016) and the Second Prize at the 8th Malaysia International Vocal Competition (2020).
