Biography

Brea Renetta Marshall

Brea Renetta Marshall, soprano hails from Houston, TX and is a recent graduate from Mannes at The New School, where she received a Professional Studies Diploma in Voice under the tutelage of soprano Laquita Mitchell. Roles performed include Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, the titular role in Lucy by Tom Cipullo, Violetta Valéry in Verdi’s La Traviata, Miss Jessel in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, and originated the role of Girlfriend #2 in the world premiere of Blue by Jeanine Tesori and Tazewell Thompson at The Glimmerglass Festival. Ms. Marshall holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Lamar University. Ms. Marshall was a participant in Marilyn Horne’s The Song Continues masterclass series at Carnegie Hall and is an alumna of the Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy (YAVA). Ms. Marshall currently resides in New York City.
