Biography

Bridget Ravenscraft

Bridget Ravenscraft is the soprano Artist in Residence at Opera Colorado for the 2025-2026 season. During her residency, Bridget will sing in the touring productions of Romeo and Juliet (Juliet) and The Pirates of Penzance (Mabel). On the Ellie Caulkins mainstage, she will perform in La Traviata (Annina, Violetta study cover) and Madame Butterfly (chorus). Recently, she was an apprentice artist with Des Moines Metro Opera where she sang in the choruses of Sweeney Todd and Pique Dame. She spent two summers as a conservatory artist at the BayView Music Festival singing in Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), La Cenerentola (Clorinda)and Carmen (Micaëla)In May of 2025, Bridget graduated with her Artist Diploma from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she studied with Yvonne Redman and coached with Drs. Julie Gunn and Casey Robards. During her two years at UIUC with Lyric Theatre @ Illinois, she performed in Oklahoma! (Aunt Eller), Monteverdi’s Orfeo (La Musica), premiered in Ilya Demutsky's new opera Black Square (Legion Woman 1), and was awarded second prize in the Krannert Debut Artist Competition. She graduated with her Bachelor of Music in voice performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University where she studied with Timothy Noble.
