Biography

Bryan de Parsia

Baritone Bryan De Parsia is a rising singer located in New York City who has been praised for his "powerful" and "expressive" voice. A citizen of both the USA and Canada, he has sung on the operatic and concert stage across North America.  His recent performances include Stonewall with New York City Opera (June 2019) and a contemporary double bill Engtanglment/Yellow Wall Paper with 23degree Theater in Montreal (May 2019).  In 2018 he sang Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor and Marquis de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites with Opera McGill. His performance of Enrico was a huge success and critically well-received.   His other recent performances include concert and opera work, performing the baritone solos of the Mozart Requiem and the Fauré Requiem as well as covering Marcello in La bohème with Opera Kelowna. Bryan De Parsia is an alumnus of the Kelowna Opera Summer Training Intensive Program, the Blooming Voce Summer Opera Workshop, and the Taos Opera Institute. He holds an M.M. in Opera and Voice Performance from McGill University where he studied with Stefano Algieri and a B.M. from the University of the Pacific where he studied with Burr C Philips.
