Biography

Callie Cooper

Soprano Callie Cooper graduated with a Masters of Music in Opera Performance in 2023 from Wichita State University. Past credits include covering the title role of Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah at Wichita Grand Opera in 2022, Hester Prynne in Lori Laitman’s The Scarlet Letter and Arminda in La finta giardiniera at Wichita State Opera Theater. She has also been a featured soloist in Bruchner’s Te Deum and Handel’s Messiah with the Wichita State University Symphony. In 2021, Ms. Cooper graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance. Also In 2021, she was a winner of the Thursday Musical’s Scholarship Competition, as well as the First Place winner and Encouragement Award recipient of the National Society of Arts and Letters Shirley Winston Voice Competition. In 2018, she was awarded First Place in the Glenn Miller Vocal Competition.
