Cameron Burnes
Cameron recently returned home to Australia, following a musical and personal endeavour to live and work in Europe. During this twelve-month period he was loosely based in Sweden, and worked with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra as a freelancing musician. Cameron also undertook private study with Joost Bosdijk, Audun Halvorsen, Sebastian Stevensson, Magnus Nilsson, Christian Davidsson, and Alessandro Caprotti.

Biography

Cameron Burnes

Cameron recently returned home to Australia, following a musical and personal endeavour to live and work in Europe. During this twelve-month period he was loosely based in Sweden, and worked with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra as a freelancing musician. Cameron also undertook private study with Joost Bosdijk, Audun Halvorsen, Sebastian Stevensson, Magnus Nilsson, Christian Davidsson, and Alessandro Caprotti. Cameron began his bassoon studies with Andrew Barnes at the Sydney Conservatorium of music and received a Bachelor of Music Performance. Through the robust orchestral performance program at the Conservatorium, Cameron toured to New Caledonia and subsequently met Yoshi Ishikawa. Cameron was offered a Teaching Assistantship and pursued a Master of Music Performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the USA. Cameron returned to Australia following this period of study to compliment his experience at the Australian National Academy of Music, In Melbourne, where he received lessons from Elise Millman.
