An avid ensemble musician, violinist Caroline Joyner is a member of the Louisville Orchestra and has also performed with the Milwaukee, Kalamazoo, and Billings Symphony Orchestras. She earned her Master’s degree in Violin Performance at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music in June 2022, where she studied with Blair Milton of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In May 2020 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Cleveland Institute of Music / Case Western Reserve University dual-degree program, receiving BM’s in Violin Performance (student of Joan Kwuon and Ivan Ženatý) and Music Theory (Dr. Jason R. Jedlicka, advisor) and a BA in German (Dr. Margaretmary Daley, advisor). She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was named CIM’s Theodore Presser Scholar in 2018. When not teaching or performing, Caroline enjoys spoiling her cat Sage, trying new recipes, and planning future travel adventures.
