Chandlar Head is a compelling lyric soprano praised for her emotional depth and luminous tone. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Music at the University of North Texas, following a Master of Music from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Music from Eastern New Mexico University. Her notable operatic roles include the title role in Suor Angelica, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte.
Chandlar has captivated audiences as a soloist at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican and La Madeleine in Paris. A winner of the TTU Symphony Concerto Competition, she has also performed in masterclasses with Patricia Racette. She is set to perform the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi with Achtley Opera in August of 2025. Her artistry is shaped by collaborations with distinguished conductors and directors, and she has contributed to community engagement through past performances with Amarillo Opera Theatre. In addition to performing, she also enjoys teaching a private studio of students.
