Chasity Monique Ford is a recent graduate of the illustrious Howard University. She currently studies with Angela Powell Walker since completing her Master of Music in Classical Voice. She is also a piano and voice teacher based in Washington, D.C. Her senior thesis, “Classically Gifted and Black: A Comparative Glance at Black Composers throughout Time, captured her passionate desire to bring awareness to hidden figures in the classical genre. Recently, Chasity made her Kennedy Center debut with the AAMS Emerging Young Artist Workshop. Chasity has performed scenes from Die Fledermaus as Adele, The Ballad of Baby Doe as Baby Doe, Cosi fan Tutte as Fiordilgi, Don Giovanni as Zerlina, The Medium as Monica, and L'Amant Anonyme as Leontine at Howard University. Select theater credits include Jasmine in Fairview, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, and Brown Skin Girl as Nia (Mary Baldwin University). Ms. Ford was also a proud member of the Denyce Graves Foundation's Shared Voices cohort ‘24-‘25
