Claudia Espinoza holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from the National Conservatory of Peru, and a Master of Music from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. With extensive performance experience across the main venues of her country, she notably served as a member of the esteemed National Choir of Peru for five years. As a soloist, she has showcased her talents with the National Symphonic Orchestra and the Young Symphonic Orchestra of Peru in renowned works including Handel's "The Messiah," J.S. Bach's "Mattheus Passion," and Mozart's "Requiem" and "Exultate Jubilate." Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Musetta in "La Boheme" and Suor Genovieffa in "Suor Angelica," performed at the Santa Catarina Music Festival in Brazil. Claudia has also participated in the "JSB Ensemble" organized by the Bach Akademie Stuttgart in its 2020 and 2023 editions. In 2023, she portrayed Lauretta in "Gianni Schicchi" and Suor Osmina in "Suor Angelica" at the Bay View Music Festival in Michigan. She won the second prize in the NATS Artis Awards 2023. In 2021, she was honored with a Fulbright Grantee to pursue graduate studies in the United States, where she completed her master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the guidance of Professor Yvonne. Claudia is currently pursuing a DMA at the same institution.
