Mezzo-soprano, Courtney Jameson, recently won 3rd Place in the 2022 Saengerbund Awards in Houston, TX. She was also chosen to be a 2022 NATS Intern. She graduated from Indiana University with her DM in Voice in 2020. She was named winner of the St. Louis District for the 2020 Laffont Competition (formerly Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions). Later this year, she will be traveling to Prague, Czech Republic, as a Voice Fellow for Opernfest Prague.

MEZZO - SOPRANO DR. COURTNEY JAMESON studied with Professor Emerita Mary Ann Hart and received her MM in Voice in 2016. She graduated in 2020 with her DM in Voice with a minor in Music Theory. With a love of teaching and performing, Courtney focuses on various projects and performances. Recently, she was chosen to participate in the 2022 NATS Internship Program, which pairs experienced and recognized master teachers with talented, early-career voice teachers. She also continued her competition experience by placing Third for the 2022 Saengerbund Awards in Houston, TX. She will be traveling to Prague, Czech Republic, in July to participate in Opernfest Prague. As an operatic mezzo, Courtney has performed the roles of Laurene Powell Jobs ("The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs"), Lazuli ("L'Étoile"), Bertarido ("Rodelinda"), Paula ("Florencia en el Amazonas"), Dorabella ("Così fan tutte"), Angelina ("La Cenerentola"), Jade Boucher ("Dead Man Walking"), and Dido ("Dido and Aeneas"). She is an avid supporter of newly-composed music and has sung premieres of works by Matthew Recio and Sam Ritter, along with workshops by composers Terence Blanchard, Tobias Picker, Robert Patterson, and Shalumit Ran at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Opera Memphis, and Indiana University. She was a Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis for the 2017 & 2018 seasons and returned numerous times to perform in workshops and and for their Opera on the GO! outreach program. Courtney was the 2018 Artistic Division Winner for the National Opera Association's Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition, a finalist for the Grand Junction Young Artist Competition in 2019, and winner of the St. Louis District's Laffont Competition (formerly the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions) in 2019.
