Biography

Daniela Pepe

Daniela Pepe is a second year graduate student at DePaul University majoring in Voice Performance studying with Dr. Viktoria Vizin. She received her bachelor’s degree in Music Performance in the Spring of 2024 from Florida Gulf Coast University where she studied with Dr. Jeanie Darnell. Daniela competed throughout her undergraduate career in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition and was able to take home first place in her category three years in a row from 2022 to 2024. After winning the State and Regional rounds of the Music Teachers National Association competition in the Young Artist Voice division, Daniela competed in the National division in Atlanta and won first place in her category. After relocating to Chicago, Daniela had the opportunity to compete in the Musician Club of Women competition this past March and won the Farwell award in the Junior voice division.  Her previous roles include Hansel from Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Marcelina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and most recently Suor Zelatrice and La Ciesca in the DePaul Opera Theater’s double bill production of Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi. This past Summer Daniela had the honor of having her role premiere as Carmen at Bayview Summer Music Festival.
