Biography

Dasol Lee

Dasol Lee begins his 2025 season as a Resident Artist with the Berlin Opera Academy. He wil perform on a ful scholarship, having received the Ian Wilson Memorial Scholarship, and his mainstage work wil include performing Seneca in L'incoronazione di Poppea. This season, he took on several operatic roles at The Juiliard School, including 2nd Comm./1st Officer in Dialogues des Carmélites conducted by Mattew Aucoin and La Fauteuil/Un Arbre in L'enfant et les sortilèges, conducted by Louis Langrée. He was a Young Artist with the Korea National Opera in 2024, and in his previous seasons, he performed Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro at Seongnam Arts Center and Notaio in Gianni Schicchi at Seoul National University, showcasing his versatility across various operatic works. Additionaly, he performed as a soloist in various Liederabend, Mozart's Requiem, and several other performances in colaboration with Hyundai Motor’s Chung Mong-Koo Foundation. Lee holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University and is currently studying a Master of Music at The Juiliard School as a Toulmin Foundation Scholar. He has previously participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Kwangchul Youn, Samuel Youn, and Sumi Hwang. In addition to his performances, he has received the Hyundai Motor’s Chung Mong-Koo Foundation Scholarship and placed 3rd in The Korean Voice Competition.
