Dongxu Ding is a mezzo-soprano currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree in Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas. She holds a master's degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and a bachelor's degree from Tianjin Conservatory of Music.
She has performed in various operatic and concert productions, including Così fan tutte (Dorabella), Die Fledermaus, and Turandot. As a concert soloist, she appeared in Arthur Honegger's King David with the UNT Grand Chorus and Symphony Orchestra under the baton of David Itkin. She has also participated in large-scale productions such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and performances based on Chinese classical literature with the Tianjin Opera and Dance Drama Theatre and the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has worked and performed with the Shenzhen Opera & Dance Theatre, gaining further stage experience in both Western and Chinese repertoire.
Ms. Ding is passionate about both opera and art song, with a special interest in Mahler, French mélodie repertoire. She is currently seeking new opportunities for performance, artistic growth, and professional training.
