(She/Her) Elisabeth Tsubota is an award-winning writer and filmmaker, whose screenwriting journey began when her screenplay ESCAPE FROM EDEN was optioned by producer Jonas McCord. Her directorial debut SAVANNAH won the Best of Genre Award at the 2022 Great Lakes International Film Festival. She is an Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition Second Rounder, Shore Scripts Screenplay Contest Quarterfinalist, and her prose has been featured in The Griffith Review and Newton Literary. She continues to build a body of work focusing on grounded sci-fi, dark humor, and the multi-racial experience.

Elisabeth Tsubota

Elisabeth Tsubota is an award-winning writer and filmmaker, whose screenwriting journey began in 2017 when her screenplay ESCAPE FROM EDEN was optioned by producer Jonas McCord (ASK THE DUST, THE YOUNG RIDERS). Recently, her directorial debut SAVANNAH won the Best of Genre Award at the 2022 Great Lakes International Film Festival. She is an Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition Second Rounder, Shore Scripts Screenplay Contest Quarterfinalist, and her prose is featured in publications such as The Griffith Review and Newton Literary. A graduate of Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, she continues to build a body of work focusing on grounded sci-fi, dark humor, and the multi-racial experience.
