Ms. Gibson is a versatile singer also noted for having a “delightful tapestry of vocal color” by Broadway World. Local audiences rave “her voice is a pure work of art and acting will bring you to tears”. Ms. Gibson has also sung roles such as Mimì in La bohéme (Puccini); Tatyana in Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky); Marenka in The Bartered Bride (Smetana); Musetta in La bohème (Puccini); Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti); Micaëla and Frasquita in Carmen (Bizet), among others. Originally from Kansas City, Ms. Gibson has a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music, and a Master’s degree in Opera Performance from Arizona State University. Emily is the Co-Founder of Valley Opera, formerly Chandler Opera Company, in which she founded with her husband Richard.
