Biography

Emily Pace

Emily Pace is a soprano from Houston, TX, currently based in Waco. She recently graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance, where she studied under Dr. Robert Best. Emily will continue her studies in the fall, pursuing a Master of Music at Baylor University.

As a member of the Baylor Opera Theatre, Emily performed roles like Marianna in Torroba's Luisa Fernanda and Speed Dater in Michael Ching's Speed Dating Tonight. She most recently performed Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. Emily has dazzled audiences nationwide, performing roles at the Queens Summer Vocal Institute, where she was seen as Nella in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and performed Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel.

Emily is the recipient of the 2024 Grady Harlan Award, and won first place in the 4th/5th year women's category for the Texoma National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition. Emily placed second as a national finalist for the 2025 Music Teachers National Association’s Young Artist Vocal competition. She most recently ranked first place at the 2025 Classical Singer Vocal Competition in Chicago, IL, in the University Singers category. At the conclusion of her undergraduate studies at Baylor University, Emily was honored with the Thomas Stuart Award in Voice, as well as the Dean's Award for Outstanding Performance.
