American Bass-baritone Eric Delagrange is a native of Buffalo, New York and currently a third year Resident Artist with The Academy of Vocal Arts. Mr. Delagrange made his role debut as Balthazar in La Favorite at The Academy of Vocal Arts. In December, he made his debut with Heartbeat Opera in Louisa Proske, and Chloe Treat’s production of Der Freischütz as Hermit. In October of 2019, Delagrange joined pianist Brent Funderburk in a Recital Series at The Hill Stead Museum in Farmington, Connecticut. During the 2018-2019 season at The Academy of Vocal Arts, Delagrange sang Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte conducted by Christofer Macatsoris and directed by Dorothy Danner. He also performed Le Duc in Roméo et Juliette conducted by Stephen Mosteller and directed by Jeffrey Buchman, and Vodník in Rusalka conducted by Luke Housner and directed by Kevin McDowell. In the summer of 2019, Delagrange joined Russian Opera Workshop performing the roles of King René in Iolanta, and Thibaut d’Arc in The Maid of Orleans.
