Erik has performed a number of principal roles with the Binghamton Opera Ensemble including Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, The Shoe Salesman in Postcard from Morocco, and Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas. During his time at Binghamton, he also competed in and won several vocal competitions across the United States, including the NATS Eastern Regional Competition (2016, 2017, 2018) and the Northeastern Division of the CS Music Competition (2018). In addition, Erik was a semifinalist in the national rounds of both the CS Music Competition and the NATS Competition. Erik has worked with Delaware Valley Opera, New York Opera Studio, and Tri-Cities Opera. His roles include Ben in Menotti’s The Telephone (Delaware Valley Opera), Mr. Gobineau in The Medium (Delaware Valley Opera), Marchese D’Obigny in La Traviata (New York Opera Studio), The Boatswain in H.M.S. Pinafore (Tri-Cities Opera) and The Registrar in Madama Butterfly (Tri-Cities Opera). He also sang bass in a debut of Harry Bialor’s Uprising of the Warsaw Ghetto (2020) and was a Guest Artist for the Richmond Choral Society’s fall program, Eternal Light (2019). In the summer of 2018, Erik was a Young Artist at Aquilon Music Festival where he performed the role of Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, as well as The Sergeant in their debut of the reconstruction of Lully’s opera La Chute de Phaeton.
