Biography

Estefani Lopez

Estefani Lopez is a mezzo-soprano from Riverside, California and is a recent graduate from USC, studying with Professor Elizabeth Hynes. At USC, she performed the role of Agwe in Once on this Island, La Baronne in Massenet's Chérubin, Armelinde in Cendrillon by Viardot, and most recently Arminda in Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera. She participated in The Opera Buff's concert of The Ballad of Baby Doe by Douglass Moore as one of Augusta's friends and performed the role of Jenny in Ben Morris's Las Autenticas. At the International Lyric Academy, she performed the role of Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro in North Carolina and Vicenza, Italy. She won first place and audience choice in Opera Buff's Estrellas del Mañana competition, encouragement award in Schmidt's Undergraduate Vocal Competition, and first place in Guild Opera Company's Vocal Competition. She also participated in the Houston Grand Opera's Young Artist Vocal Academy in 2024. She is very excited to be continuing her studies for her Master's degree in Opera Performance at the Yale School of Music in the upcoming fall.
