Esther Kim is a violinist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who is currently based out of Seoul, South Korea. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Music in violin performance with a minor in history at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Esther has studied under Professor Kyung Sun Lee (2019-2021) and Professor Grigory Kalinovsky (2021-Present).
Esther has performed with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, and she has received 1st Prize at the Sejong Orchestra National Music Concour, and 2nd Prize at Guri City Orchestra Concour and Nanpa National Music Competition.
Esther has participated in numerous music festivals including the Heifetz International Music Institute (2017, 2023), OSSI (2021,22,23), and Brian Lewis Young Artist Program (2019). Through these programs, she has studied under Soovin Kim, Hagai Shaham, Brian Lewis, Mark Kaplan, Nicholas Kitchen, Kristopher Tong, Daniel Phillips, and Yoojin Jang.
