A dynamic lyric soprano with an appetite for knowledge, Ms. Adams has established her musical prowess in her brief time as an undergraduate artist. She is an award-winning soloist with several roles already under her belt.
From Mozart to Heggie, Faith is a multi-faceted artist who seeks to challenge antiquated industry standards while delivering authentic, compelling musicianship in performance.
Faith Adams is a lyric soprano based in Fort Worth, TX. When Ms. Adams entered the Texas All-State Choir competition process as a high-schooler, her success ignited a fire for performing. Since then, she has studied Vocal Performance at TCU under the tutelage of both Angela Turner Wilson and Twyla Robinson and will graduate with her Bachelor of Music in December 2023. Ms. Adams has since won 2nd Prize in the 2023 Young Soloist International Music Competition and been named a NATS Semi-Finalist and Finalist, and she has participated in various professional engagements, such as performing in Handel's Messiah as a soprano soloist, performing at the Fort Worth Rodeo, and performing at Billy Bob's National Rodeo VIP Gold Access Event.
Since Dr. Corey Trahan took the helm as the new TCU Opera Director, Faith Adams has performed as Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (2023) and First Witch in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas (2022), and she will perform her final TCU role this October as Susannah in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah.
Formerly, Ms. Adams performed under the direction of David Gately in roles such as Pernille in The Beautiful Bridegroom, #9 and #22 in Speed Dating Tonight!!, and La Modista in Il cappello di paglia di Firenze.
In summer 2023, Ms. Adams made her Carnegie Hall debut with Manhattan Opera Studio. While there, she performed as Papagena and covered Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and she performed in a concert production of Die Zauberflöte as Pamina at The National Opera Center.
Ms. Adams attended the 2021 Taos Opera Institute and performed under guidance of resident composer Michael Ching.
