Faith Snyderman

From operatic damsels to musical theatre mavens, second generation native Washingtonian and soprano, Faith S. Snyderman’s multifaceted skill sets have long served her well. She looks forward to using them this April for her professional operatic debut as Mademoiselle Jouvenout in Adriana Lecouvreur with Baltimore Concert Opera. Since her role premiere of Margaret Johnson in Carnegie Mellon University’s early 2020 production of The Light in the Piazza, she will return to the “Steel City” as a 2022 Pittsburgh Festival Opera Fleischner Young Artist this summer. Ms. Snyderman has been recognized by the Rochester City Newspaper [regarding her performance of Donna Anna in Eastman Opera Theatre’s Don Giovanni under the baton of Timothy Long] as having “fitting gravitas and an affecting vibrato.” Additional credits include Die Knusperhexe in Hänsel und Gretel and working with TONY Award winning composer Adam Guettel for the world premiere of the reorchestrated version of The Light in the Piazza. She has also sung the roles of Anna Maurrant in Street Scene, conducted by Marcello Cormio, and Baba in The Medium along with smaller roles throughout her studies. A frequent concert soloist, Ms. Snyderman has been featured with the Institut Canadien d’Art Vocal in Montréal, Québec, The George Eastman Museum Concert Series, the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and with the American Spiritual Ensemble. Last summer, she was a recurringly highlighted young artist with the inaugural season of OperaFest Sewanee at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, collaborating with the esteemed Kathleen Kelly and Patrick Hansen. Ms. Snyderman holds degrees from West Virginia University (Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, cum laude) the Eastman School of Music (Master of Music in Voice Performance and Literature), and post-graduate certificates from Carnegie Mellon University (Performer’s Certificate, Advanced Musical Studies Certificate in Music Entrepreneurship). She currently studies with Jennifer Aylmer and Laura Brooks Rice.
