Georgia Thomas is a 21-year-old lyric soprano from Atlanta, GA, performing mainly in opera, operetta, and musical theatre. In August of 2025, she will begin her senior year of undergraduate voice studies at Furman University with her teacher, Dr. Grant Knox.
This summer, Georgia is returning for the second time as an emerging artist with the Seagle Festival, making her role debuts as Erma Latour in ANYTHING GOES, Frasquita (Cover) in CARMEN, and Valeria in the second-ever performance of MAYO BUCKNER (A LIFE INTERRUPTED), during which she will work closely with composer Tom Cipullo. Just a few months prior to arriving to Schroon Lake, she was in Atlanta singing the role of Abigail Williams in THE CRUCIBLE (Ward) with Harrower Summer Opera Workshop. Other roles include Laetitia in THE OLD MAID AND THE THIEF and Venus in ORPHEUS IN THE UNDERWORLD with Sarah Reese Lyric Theater, Mom/Somi in Evan Mack's DRAGONS BREATH with the Seagle Festival, Lila/Sara in the New York premiere of COLD MOUNTAIN (Higdon) with Seagle, and Lakmé in Furman University's opera scenes program.
In her free time, Georgia enjoys playing video games, building websites, attending the nearest renaissance faire, and spending time with her loved ones (including her two rescue dogs, Poppy and Marshall). See more at georgiathomassoprano.com.
