Despite being raised across the U.S. by her military family, Grace Lesniewicz calls Fort Worth, TX, home. After starting her vocal journey in choir and then fell head over heels for opera in her undergraduate degree. Ms. Lesniewicz finished her Bachelor of Science in Music Performance at Texas Tech University with Dr. Alice-Anne Light where she performed Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni as well as in several opera choruses. Seeking further operatic engagement, she performed with Opera in the Ozarks’ 2022 season. There, she was a part of their traveling children’s opera, John Davies’ Pinocchio. In this experience, Ms. Lesniewicz understood her calling to opera and the joy of telling a story with music. She then moved to Colorado to study with Dr. Logan Contreras and earned her Master of Music at the University of Colorado. At UNCO, she performed Marie in Pauline Viardot-García’s Cendrillon and covered Adina in Gaetano Donizetti’s L’Elisir D’Amore and Mme. Silberklang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor. Ms. Lesniewicz also premiered a student led opera and worked collaboratively with a chamber wind ensemble to perform Peter Meechan’s work, Dreams Unseen. In the greater Colorado area, she has performed with Bravo!Vail in the chorus of their recent production of La Bohème. Away from the stage, Ms. Lesniewicz loves crocheting and hosting for her friends.
