Grace Renée Pfleger, mezzo-soprano, is an opera singer and music therapist. She is pursuing her Artist Diploma on full scholarship at the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, studying with Beth Roberts.
Pfleger has a Master of Science in Music Therapy from Radford University and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from UNC School of the Arts. A passionate performer and community advocate, Grace is the first vocalist member of the Cali Collective, where she represents the Cali School of Music and engages the community. Grace was Miss Roanoke Valley 2024 and was a Resident Artist with Opera Roanoke, where she made her professional debut as Gherardino in Gianni Schicchi.
A semi-finalist of the 2024 Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition, Pfleger maintains a busy performance schedule. She sang internationally this Summer at Opera Lucca in Tuscany, Italy. She sang Cherubino in Opera Lucca’s production of Le nozze di Figaro, performed opera scenes, and premiered new works by the Associate Music Director, Maestro Raphael Fusco. Additional credits include Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Lisetta from Die Welt auf dem Monde, Venus from Venus and Adonis (Radford Opera), and Ms.Todd from The Old Maid and the Thief (Radford Opera and Opera Roanoke).
