Biography

Hannah Hieronimus

Hannah Hieronimus is a lyric soprano currently pursuing her Master of Music in vocal performance at the University of Delaware, where she also serves as a teaching assistant for vocal lessons, music history, and UD Lyric Theater. She holds two bachelor's degrees in Vocal Performance and Health Science from Frostburg State University. 

Hannah's recent performance credits include covering the role of Mimì in La Bohème at Chicago Summer Opera. She has performed operatic scenes and full productions from Iolanthe (Phyllis), Amahl and the Night Visitors (Mother), L'amico Fritz (Suzel), Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa Almaviva), and La Rondine (Magda). Upcoming performances include the role of Maggie in The Gift of the Magi with Delaware Valley Opera Company and engagements with UD Lyric Theater.

In addition to standard operatic repertoire, Hannah has a deep love for art song, with a special fondness for the works of Rachmaninoff, Schumann, Wolf, Debussy, and Fauré. She also has a passion for early music and has appeared in concert with Mountainside Baroque as a choir member and soloist. Most recently she performed a soprano solo from BWV 21, Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis with the University of Delaware Collegium Musicum ensemble.
