Biography

Hannah Mikita

Hannah Mikita, Slovak-American soprano, is recognized for her versatility, musical sensitivity, and engaging stage presence across opera and musical theatre. She recently returned to Opera McGill as a guest artist, having earned her Master of Music in Voice and Opera from McGill University, following a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and French from Vanderbilt University.

Her performances with Opera McGill include Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Mère Marie (cover) (Dialogues des Carmélites), and Signora Nacarelli (The Light in the Piazza). At Vanderbilt University, she appeared as Madame Rossignol (Cendrillon), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), and La tasse chinoise (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges). Additional roles include Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) and Donna Anna (partial) (Don Giovanni) with the Festival of International Opera in Italy.

Hannah has collaborated with distinguished directors David Gately and David Lefkowich, and has participated in masterclasses with faculty from The Juilliard School and the Paris Opera, further refining her artistry.

In addition to her musical work, Hannah is pursuing an MBA with the Global Leaders Institute, integrating her passion for performance with leadership and innovation in the arts. She currently resides in Montreal, where she studies with Elizabeth Koch.
