Biography

Henry Malueg

Tenor Henry Malueg (he/him) is an emerging artist currently based in Philadelphia, PA. Originally from Madison, WI, he is a 2nd year M.M. Voice Performance student at the Boyer College of Music and Dance with Temple University where he studies with Dr. Kathryn Leemhuis. This November, Henry will be playing Nick in Boyer’s collegiate premiere production of The Handmaid’s Tale. Other performances of Henry’s at Boyer include Don Giovanni (Don Ottavio), Massenet’s Cendrillon (Heraut/Chorus, Les Surintendant des Plaisir cover), and a workshop of Jesse Hampsch’s new musical, Goblin Market (Dante Rossetti).

 In the summer of 2025, Henry was an emerging artist with the Seagle Festival. While there, he was featured in their productions of Carmen (Don José) and Anything Goes (Ship’s Captain). In May 2025, Henry made his regional debut in Opera Magnifico’s production of Lucia di Lammermoor (Normanno). 

Henry received his Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2023 where he studied with Dr. Kenneth Pereira. Henry performed in their productions of Orpheus in the Underworld (Orpheus), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive’s Dad, Male u.s.), Rutter’s The Wind in the Willows (Mr. Toad), and The Threepenny Opera (Macheath). He also performed as the Tenor Soloist in Mozart’s Missa Brevis in G Major with UW Eau Claire. Other performances of Henry’s while in Eau Claire include The Pirates of Penzance (Frederic) and Jekyll and Hyde (Dr. Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde). 

 Henry also took part in the Bay View Music Festival in the summer of 2024. While there, Henry performed in their productions of Fiddler on the Roof (Motel), and La Cenerentola (Chorus). He also took part in the Harrower Summer Opera Program in 2023 where he performed in their production of Die Zauberflöte (Monostatos).
