Hope Dedrick, soprano, is passionate about authenticity and joy in the arts. Most recently, she joined SOO Opera in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan as apprentice artist in the Summer of 2025 where she covered the role of Countess in Le nozze di Figaro and performed Sandman in Hansel and Gretel. In the 2024-2025 season, she performed as Krystyna Zywulska in Jake Heggie’s Two Remain at UMKC Conservatory and Lady Billows in Britten’s Albert Herring with Chicago Summer Opera. In the 2023-2024 season, she appeared as the title role in Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Die Königin der Nacht (cover) in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with UMKC Opera. She also performed as Die Königin der Nacht with Orpheus KC, a supporting organization of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Other recent roles include La Comtesse in UMKC Opera’s production of Massenet’s Chérubin as well as Knitter 1 in Barab’s A Game of Chance and Mrs. Foster in Peterson’s The Séance with Lawrence Opera Theatre. She is currently pursing an Artist Certificate in voice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City under the tutelage of Dr. Maria Kanyova, and she holds a Master’s degree in voice from the same institution.
