Ilya is a prize winner of many competitions, including the Tucumán International Piano Competition (2019), the Adilia Alieva International Piano Competition (2019), the All-Russian Music Competition in Moscow (2018), the XXV “Flame” International Piano Competition in Paris (2014), the Rubinstein Chamber Music International Competition (2014), the Jean Francaix International Piano Competition (2013), the International Piano Competition in Saratov, Russia (2012), and the Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial Competition (2012). He has been featured in music festivals worldwide including Virtuosi Brazil, PianoTexas International Festival, and the Oxford Philharmonic Festival, and has performed in such venues as The Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, The English Hall in St. Petersburg; Van Cliburn Hall in Forth Worth, TX; Sala Sao Paolo, Brazil; Teatro Solis in Montevideo, Uruguay, Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He appears regularly as soloist with the St. Petersburg State Orchestra, the Saratov Philharmonic, the Volgograd Philharmonic, the Yaroslav Philharmonic, Virtuosi Orchestra Brazil, and the Novaya Rossiya State Symphony Orchestra of Yury Bashmet, and his performances have been broadcasted by Russian, Norwegian, and Argentinean TV.
Ilya completed his Graduate Diploma at the Moscow State P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he worked with Prof. Andrei Diev. After graduation, he received a full-tuition scholarship at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and did his postgraduate course there with Graham Scott.
