Bermuda-born soprano Ingrid Kuribayashi earned a Master’s in voice with honors from the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi“ di Milano in 2023 and won first place in the opera division of the Premio del Conservatorio IX Edizione. In 2024 Kuribayashi returned to the USA to pursue a Specialist Degree in voice performance at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance under the instruction of Caitlin Lynch. While studying at the University of Michigan, Kuribayashi made her American debut as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, shortly followed by Despina in Così fan tutte. Over the summer of 2025, Kuribayashi performed Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Prague Summer Nights in Vienna. During the 2025-26 season, Kuribayashi will join Florida Grand Opera as a Studio Artist, where she will perform Ida in Die Fledermaus and cover Adele. Her bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University is a double major in French & Italian Language & Literature focusing on Renaissance and Enlightenment theater.
