Isabella Abbrescia, soprano, is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of opera. Having recently graced the stage as Moth in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, La Marquesita in Barbieri’s El Barberillo de Lavapies, and La Sirena in Handel’s Rinaldo, Isabella's performances reflect not only her technical prowess but also her commitment to the expressive and historical nuances of her repertoire.
As she embarks on upcoming projects, including the role of Rosemary in Hoiby's Summer and Smoke, Isabella remains steadfast in her mission to preserve and promote opera’s rich traditions. A rising force in the industry, Isabella garnered national acclaim as a semi-finalist in the CS Music competition in 2023, showcasing both her technique and captivating stage presence.
Currently pursuing her Master’s in Opera Performance at Boston Conservatory under the guidance of Rebecca Folsom, Isabella continues to build on the foundation laid by her previous mentor, Pamela Hinchman. With a deep passion for understanding the traditions that have shaped her craft, Isabella Abbrescia envisions a future where her work captivates audiences.
