Puerto Rican lyric soprano Isis Bermúdez Rivera is a second year Master of Music student at New England Conservatory of Music, studying with Jane Eaglen. Isis completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Central Florida studying with Dr. Jeremy Hunt. Role experience includes Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (Fortuna) with NEC Opera, Robert Xavier Rodriguez’ Frida (Calavera 1) with Opera Orlando, Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro (Contessa,) and Mozart’s La finta giardiniera (Sandrina) with UCF Opera. Isis has received multiple accolades such as first place at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) in both the local and regional levels, along with achieving first place in UCF’s Performance Excellence Competition, being the first vocalist to win this award in the competition’s history.
