Born in Novokuznetsk, Russia in 2002, Issana started her global travels young when she was adopted at the age of 6 months and moved to the U.S. with her American parents. She is currently a sophomore at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she feels honored to be studying with Professor Heidi Grant Murphy, “one of the outstanding vocal talents of her generation”. In September 2022, Issana performed with the Don Giovanni Opera Chorus. In December she will be performing with the Nutcracker Opera Chorus and in April 2023 she will be performing with the Candide Opera Chorus. She will also be performing in a solo sophomore recital in February 2023. This July, Issana is looking forward to attending the Tel Aviv Summer Opera Program under the guidance of Artistic Director Kevin Murphy. Issana has also studied ballet for 13 years and violin for 10 years. Academically she has maintained an “A” average and is a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and has received the Founders Scholar Designation from Indiana University for academic excellence in the Spring of 2022.
