Jackson Emmett Schroeder (Tenor) studied at Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, then earning his Master of Music at Schulich School of Music at McGill University. Schroeder was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia (USA).
Jackson has performed as Pirelli in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd at Lowell House Opera (Harvard University), was featured as a soloist at Boston Symphony Hall in Adolphus Hailstork’s Crispus Attucks, and earned his first lead role in Montreal, Quebec as the Witch in Hänsel und Gretel. Most recently, Schroeder completed an intensive Summer Program at the Franz Schubert Institute in Baden, Austria, deeply influencing his thesis-level recital at McGill.
Schroeder has recently completed his apprenticeship with Sarasota Opera covering the role of Peppe in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci and performing in the choruses of Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Il Barbiere Di Siviglia, Le Nozze di Figaro, and Stiffelio.
He is a passionate student of his craft and a jovial colleague, bringing steadiness of effort and eagerness to hone his vocal repertoire. Schroeder has studied under Frank Kelley, John MacMaster, Michael McMann, among other world renowned voice instructors and coaches, and is eager to kickstart a lifetime of learning and performing in New York City.
