Jason is a tenor from Queenstown, MD and was recently seen competing in the Southeast region of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont competition. Other recent engagements include premiering an original work in the theatrical song cycle, "We Go On, Oswego" at Nazareth University, and performing as The Steersman in The Flying Dutchman (Wagner) at Art Park with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. This past season Jason was a 2025 Studio Artist with Finger Lakes Opera where he notably portrayed Colin in the Anonymous Lover (Joseph Bologne) and Borsa in Rigoletto (Verdi), with the additon of covering the Duke of Mantua. In recent years his credits include Ruiz Alonso in Ainadamar (Golijov) with Eastman Opera Theatre, Triquet/Lensky(cov.) in Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky), and Mr. Angel in The Impresario (Mozart) with Opera Baltimore, Odoardo in Ariodante (Händel) with Curtis Opera Theatre, and Pelléas in Impressions de Pelléas (Debussy/Constant) with Temple University Opera Theater.
Jason's upcoming engagements include Gabriel von Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss) with Eastman Opera Theatre this April and later in the month, being a 2026 Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theatre St. Louis, where he will cover A Young Collector in Streetcar Named Desire (Previn), study-cover Frederic in Pirates of Penzance (G&S), and join the ensembles for the rest of their season. Starting end of June, he will spend the remainder of his Summer as a 2026 Renée Fleming Artist at the Aspen Summer Music Festival, covering Tamino in The Magic Flute (Mozart) and performing the role of Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Britten).
In his spare time, Jason enjoys reading, photography, and playing basketball and his guitar (just not at the same time.)
