Biography

Jena Viemeister

Her most recent engagements include the role of Charity in "Fairy Godmother's Apprentice" with FGA Movie, LLC directed by Leslie Bloom, Marcia in "Marcia and Johnathon" a short film co-written and produced with Pinebox Media, Mrs.Crachit in "A Christmas Carol" with Stumptown Stages directed by Gary Wayne Cash, Little Red Riding Hood in "Into the Woods" with Opera in the Ozarks directed by Linda Brand, the role of Peg (Bob) in Queer Opera's filmed production of "Old Maid and the Thief" directed by Rebecca Herman, and a self-produced music video funded by the Chicago Academy of the Arts entitled "Eve Song Project". ​ During her time in Boston, Jena studied with Dr. Rebecca Folsom, worked with notable directors, Johnathon Pape and Nathan Troup, and completed a year long acting sequence with John Kuntz. Prior to her studies in Boston, Jena had the extreme pleasure of completing Devon Allen's Advanced Acting Series at Portland State University and is now a proud student of Kristina Haddad as part of the Portland's Actor's Lab. ​ Since returning from Boston, Jena's performed with the following companies: Portland Opera, Opera Theatre Oregon, Opera on Tap PDX, Lakewood Theatre, Experience Theatre Project, Our Song Artists as well as her own creation, Divergent Opera. Through Divergent Opera, Jena collaborated with Disability Arts and Culture Project to produce several accessible semi-staged recitals and the music video, Eve Song Project.
