Jenna Clark

American Mezzo-soprano Jenna Clark is a versatile and compelling artist based in Denver, CO. With a love of creative storytelling, Ms. Clark captures audiences with her rich, vibrant tone and arresting stage presence on both operatic and concert stages.

April of 2026, Ms. Clark will perform the role of Octavian in Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier with Boulder Opera Company.

Kicking off the 2024-2025 season, Ms. Clark traveled to Lynchburg, Virginia to perform as a Tyler Young Artist with Opera on the James. She then joined the Colorado Bach Ensemble in December of 2024 to perform in the chorus of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. January of 2025, Ms. Clark sang the alto solos in the Colorado Bach Ensemble’s performance of Bach’s cantata, Süsser Trost, mein Jesus kömmt (BWV 151), followed by her performances as one of five soloists featured in The Voice of Juana Inés with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, a concert in celebration of the 17th century poet and composer, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. March of 2025, Ms. Clark sang in the chorus of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with the Colorado Bach Ensemble, and in April of 2025, she traveled to San Diego, California to cover the role of Ramiro in Vivaldi’s Montezuma as a Studio Artist with Opera Neo.

Ms. Clark started off the 2023-2024 season strong, performing the role of Mistress Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She then joined the Colorado Bach Ensemble in their annual performance of Handel’s Messiah before heading to Fort Collins, CO to perform the role of Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Fort Collins. Ms. Clark then joined Opera Fort Collins once more to sing the role of La Abuela in Manuel de Falla’s La vida breve. Summer of 2024, Ms. Clark joined the chorus of La Bohème under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin as a part of the Bravo! Vail Music Festival followed by a residency in Crested Butte, CO singing the role of Dorabella in Così fan tutte as well as the alto solos in Beethoven’s Mass in C Major as a part of the Crested Butte Music Festival.

Ms. Clark kicked off the 2022-2023 season performing solos in the world premier of Elijah Daniel Smith’s “Starving Sod” with the Lea Mattson Collective, then going on to perform the role of the Announcer in Douglas Moore’s Gallantry with Opera Theater of the Rockies, Amor in La Púrpura de la Rosa by Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, Le Prince Charmant in Massenet’s Cendrillon at CU-Boulder, and the role of Mrs. McLean in Opera Fort Collins’ production of Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah. Ms. Clark earned an Honorable Mention as a finalist in the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition as well as winning the Career Advancement Award through the Pikes Peak Opera League. Summer of 2023, Ms. Clark sang the alto solos in Mozart’s Requiem as well as Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro as a part of the Crested Butte Music Festival.

In the 2021-2022 season, Ms. Clark performed the role of Armelinde (and covered Cendrillon) in Viardot’s Cendrillon with Loveland Opera Theater, L’enfant in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges with Boulder Opera Company, and joined the Opera Colorado Chorus in Opera Colorados production of Paul Moravek & Mark Campbell’s The Shining. Summer of 2022, Ms. Clark was a Central City Opera Apprentice Artist, covering the role of Signora Naccarelli in Adam Guettel’s The Light in the Piazza and performing in the chorus for both The Light in the Piazza and Die Fledermaus.

Summer of 2021, Ms. Clark performed the role of Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring with Chicago Summer Opera, then traveled to Steamboat, Colorado to sing Annio in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito as a part of the Opera Steamboat Artist Institute.

Ms. Clark currently performs as a touring artist with Central City Opera and sings regularly with the Colorado Bach Ensemble.
