(He/Him) Jeremy Scinocca is an award-winning tenor based in Toronto Canada. He is a returning member of Vancouver Opera's Yulanda M. Farris Young Artist Program and graduate of McGill University's Masters in Voice and Opera.  Most recent credits include a tour with Jeunesses Musicales Canada as Tonio in their production of La fille du regiment.

Biography

Jeremy Scinocca

Jeremy Scinocca is an award-winning tenor based in Toronto Canada. He is a returning member of Vancouver Opera's Yulanda M. Farris Young Artist Program.  In his first season with Vancouver Opera he performed the role of Tiberge in Le Portrait de Manon and covered the roles of Nadir in Les pêcheurs de perles and Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream.  Jeremy has also performed Edoardo in Un giorno di Regno, Mr. Pinkleton in Cinderella, Mr. Buchanan in Street Scene, Hector in a new work by Canadian composer, Rosa, and Marius in Les Miserables. He has worked with teachers Stefano Algieri and Laura Brookes Rice and coaches Les Dala, Stephen Hargreaves, and Kathleen Kelly. Jeremy  has performed in masterclasses with world renowned conductor, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Canadian tenors, Michael Schade and Richard Margison. He has won awards such as Prix Jean-Martin, E. Noel Spinelli Prize, Bourse Laurette-Paradis, and Jean L. Milar Scholarship. Jeremy is an active member of the Toronto music scene, performing in recitals across the city

Jeremy's upcoming engagements include his role debut of Tonio in La fille du Regiment with Jeunesses Musicales Canada as a part of le Festival d’opéra de Québec.  He will also be covering Ernesto in Vancouver Opera's Don Pasquale and performing Remendado in their Carmen.
