Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Jessica joined St. Petersburg Opera in the fall of 2019. While at St. Petersburg Opera she sang the role of Lolo and cover the role of Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow. Earlier that same season Ms. Rundell performed with the Trentino Music Festival as Vitellia in their production of La Clemenza di Tito. Jessica has performed with the Berlin Opera Academy in both the 2018 and 2017 seasons where she sang the roles of Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus and Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica. For her role as Rosalinde she was praised by the Berliner Morgenpost, "So sang Jessica Rundell die Partie der Rosalinde mit schöner Stimmgebung und sicherer Intonation. . ." ("So Jessica Rundell sang the role of Rosalinde with beautiful vocals and sure intonation. . ."). Ms. Rundell also performed in concert at the Opernfest Galas and for her performance in 2018 was once again applauded by the Berliner Morgenpost, "Sopranistin Jessica Rundell versteht es, die Arie „Il est doux, il est bon“ aus Jules Massenets „Hérodiade“ klangschön und farblich variabel zu gestalten. . ."("Soprano Jessica Rundell also knows how to make the "Il est doux, il est bon" aria from Jules Massenet's "Hérodiade" sound beautiful and colorful. . ."). While at the University of North Texas Jessica performed the roles of Mrs. Segstrom in A Little Night Music, La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera, Arabella in Arebella, Myrrhine in Lysistrata, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte. During her time at the Universtiy of Illinois she Performed the roles of Zweite Knabe in Die Zauberflöte, Cora MacRae in South Pacific, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Musetta in La bohème, covered the role of Hsing in the world premiere of Paradises Lost, and performed as an ensemble member in Roméo et Juliette, Rigoletto, Man of La Mancha, and Paradises Lost. Equally comfortable in concert settings, she has performed with the Trentino Music Festival and their Festival Orchestra, as a soloist in 2017 and 2018 season with the Berlin Opera Academy on their Opernfest Galas, as a soloist for the University of North Texas College of Music Gala with the University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Itkin, and as a soloist with the University of Illinois Women’s Glee Club in excerpts from Bernstein’s Candide for the Thomas Schleis memorial concert. Jessica received her Master of Music from the University of North Texas and holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
