Biography

Jessie Neilson

Whether she is performing at the opera house or a non- traditional venue like a bar patio, Jessie is know for fostering deep connections. "To me, opera is the art of human connection. If someone sees or hears something they have felt before but maybe never had a name for it or a way to express it, that is an immensely powerful experience. That is opera". Jessie has entranced audiences in roles such as Woglinde in Wagner's Das Rheingold, Vitellia in Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème and Susannah (title role) by Carlisle Floyd. Her passion for connecting communities through classical music is electric.
