Jillian Yemen is a graduate of the Master of Operatic Performance Program at the University of Toronto. Recently she has performed in Opera Lyra Ottawa Young Artists Training Programme’s production of Little Red Riding Hood and understudied the roles of Emila and Rosina, working with world renowned Rossini specialist Alfredo Zedda in Italy Roles include Hansel (Hansel and Gretel); Moppett (Paul Banyan); Nicklausse/The Muse (Les Contes d’Hoffmann); Ino (Semele); Zita (Gianni Schicchi); and Edith (The Pirates of Penzance). In concert work Jillian has performed under the batons of Helmuth Rilling and Harry Bickett, at venues such as Roy Thomson Hall, and in many recitals.
