Biography

Jingye Xu

Jingye Xu mezzo-soprano. She sang Cherubino ( Le Nozze di Figaro), Thelma Yablonksi (Later the same evening) and Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor) with UNT Opera and covered the role Emilia( Otello) with UNT Symphony Orchestra; Tamerlano (Tamerlano) with MSU, and Presendia (Dark Sister) with Trentino Music Festival. Other appearances include Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia) with MSU, Il Destino (La Calisto) with dell'Arte Opera Ensemble, and Dawa (Encounter) with Beijing Modern Music Festival. Jingye holds bachelor’s from Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, a master’s from Manhattan School of Music, an Artist’s Diploma from Montclair State University and D.M.A from The University of North Texas.
