The German soprano Julia Obert works as an opera and concert singer as well as a singing teacher. In 2011 she was a member of the ensemble of the Junge Oper Stuttgart before studying at the University of Music in Karlsruhe with Prof. Holger Speck and at the Mannheim University of Music with Prof. Snezana Stamenkovic. Master classes with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, Teresa Berganza, Charlotte Lehmann, Franz Hawlata, Prof. Ulrike Sonntag, Anne Grappotte, Helmut Lachenmann and KS Ulrike Steinsky, among others, enriched her musical career. She is very active as a soloist, her current repertoire includes Rossini's “Petite Messe Solennelle”, Haydn's “Creation” or “Le Roi David” by A. Honegger. Julia Obert is a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verband Karlsruhe and has been singing in the Rastatt Vocal Ensemble (conductor: Holger Speck) since 2015 , at whose whose concerts and radio productions she can also be heard regularly as a soloist - most recently she sang at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden alongside Anne Le Bozec (piano). She has sung under conductors such as Alessandro de Marchi and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. In the 2018/2019 season, Julia Obert made her debut at the Frankfurt Opera as Susanna in the children's opera "Figaros Hochzeit" (WA Mozart). In September 2019 she was a choir soloist in the ballet opera production of "Orphée et Eurydice" (Gluck / Neumeier) at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden . In the 2019/2020 season, Julia Obert can also be heard at the Frankfurt Opera as Donna Anna in the children's opera "Don Giovanni" (WA Mozart).
