Kaitlyn Calcagino
(She/Her) Kaitlyn Calcagino is an active flutist and teacher based in Tallahassee, FL. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music at Florida State University. At Florida State University, Kaitlyn teaches undergraduate flute lessons, studio class, woodwind methods, and is the assistant director of the FSU Flute Choir. Kaitlyn loves to play in chamber ensembles! Her most recent performance was Alyssa Morris's Brush Strokes for Flute, Oboe, and Bassoon. Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Music from Valdosta State University.

Biography

Kaitlyn Calcagino

Kaitlyn Calcagino is an active performer and flute instructor based in Tallahassee, FL. Kaitlyn is currently teaching undergraduate flute lessons at Florida State University where she is pursuing a Master of Music under Dr. Karen Large. Kaitlyn is an active member of the FSU Symphony Orchestra, FSU Wind Orchestra, and the Graduate Flute Ensemble. Kaitlyn is also the assistant director of the Undergraduate Flute Choir. Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Valdosta State Unviersity where she studied under Dr. Elizabeth Goode. Kaitlyn was also the 2nd Flute for the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra from 2018 to 2022. Kaitlyn was also a Peer Alliance Learning Facilitator at VSU as a part of the Academic Support Center where she designed weekly collaborative learning sessions for the music theory courses. Kaitlyn's favorite musical memory is touring in the Dominican Republic with the FSU Symphony Orchestra in March 2023.
