Soprano Kaitlyn George is a native of Basehor, Kansas and alumna of Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance under the direction of Martha Hart. While at Webster University, Kaitlyn was a recipient of the Christine Brewer Scholarship in Vocal Performance and the Carole Gaspar Scholarship in Vocal Performance. As a participant in Webster University’s Opera Scenes program, she sang the roles of Frasquita in Carmen, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Sophie in Werther, and the title role of Lakmé. After graduating from Webster University, Kaitlyn participated in Lawrence Opera Theatre’s summer program in 2023 and 2024. Currently, Kaitlyn is studying at the University of Kansas where she is pursuing a Master of Music in Opera under the tutelage of Dr. Genaro Méndez. While at the University of Kansas, Kaitlyn has sung as Una Conversa in Suor Angelica and in the Spring 2025 opera scenes program the roles of Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice and Marzelline in Fidelio.
