In 2014 Kaliya was recognized as the youngest recipient of an honorary diploma from the Ministry of Culture in Bulgaria for her high artistic achievements in the preceding year. Kaliya has performed in major venues, such as the Center of Fine Arts in Brussels, Bulgaria Hall in Sofia, and Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall where Kaliya played Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Juilliard Orchestra under maestro Karina Canellakis, as Juilliard’s concerto competition winner. Kaliya’s debut performance with orchestra was at the age of 9 with Mozart’s Piano Concerto in C Major K 415 with Sinfonietta Orchestra, followed by a national tour performing with the orchestras of Rousse, Plovdiv and Dobrich. Since then, Kaliya’s love for working with orchestras has blossomed and she has been a frequent soloist of many orchestras - she has performed with the National Orchestra of Belgium, Bulgarian National Radio Symphony, Sofia Philharmonic, Classic FM Radio Orchestra, as well as the symphonic orchestras of numerous Bulgarian cities in collaboration with established european conductors, including Rossen Gergov, Dimitar Karaminkov, Grigor Palikarov, Martin Panteleev, Kristina Prenkovska, Reinhard Seehafer. In 2008 Kaliya was introduced by Victor Chouchkov to the Piano Concerto in B-flat Major by Domenico Puccini - grandfather of the beloved opera composer Giacomo Puccini. Upon orchestration, Kaliya performed it that same year with the Chamber Orchestra of Dobrich and Sinfonietta Orchestra under maestro Svilen Simeonov, essentially marking the Concerto’s Bulgarian premiere.
